DMX body escorted by hundreds of fans…
The body of late hip hop icon, Earl ‘DMX’ Simmons, left the white plains hospital amid an entourage of fans.
The late rapper’s body was moved from Hospital with fans escorting the corpse while singing the popular Ruff Ryders anthem.
“Ruff Ryders’ Anthem“was released as the third single from his debut studio album It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot (1998). It ranks at number 79 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop. In the US, it peaked at number 93 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Following the rappers untimely death, the “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem“ rose to the number 1 spot on itunes.
The rapper leaves behind 15 kids, his mom Arnett Simmons, his ex wife Tashera Simmons and his fiancee Yadira Borrego.
The family of the late rapper is yet to make a statement but we extend our condolences to them.
DMX’s family announced his death in a statement issued on Friday. He was 50.
“We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days,” family’s statement read in part.”Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end,” the family continued. “He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him.”
The artist had been hospitalized since last week when he suffered a heart attack at his home in New York, according to his longtime attorney, Murray Richman.
Artists, athletes and other celebrities paid tribute to him on social media Friday.
