A viscous woman in Kamuli has handed herself to police after chopping off her Husbands baton over his refusal to eat her beans .
Mary Nakayima, a mother of 6 and resident of Bulangila village in Kamuli municipality chopped, Paul Binoga 40 yrs several times in front of their children on Wednesday night.
According to locals around Nakayima locked up Binoga and the children in the one roomed residence where she started cutting her husband with a knife on the head ,stomach and his wire.
Nakayima accused her husband of bonking other women while refusing to chew her own beans for over 7 months.
Locals say Nakayima had even previously reported the matter to local leaders for intervention but the fights between the 2 never ended but instead got worse.
“As a community, we would often attend reconciliation meetings of that particular couple, but their fights were almost reported on a weekly basis despite their frequent commitments to live a harmonious marital life,” one man said.
Locals claim when the incident happened,Nakayima was heard shouting at Binoga while accusing him of failing to fulfill his duty as a man and husband.
They say moments later, Binoga was overheard shouting in a faint voice which prompted them to intervene, only to find him lying in a pool of blood.
The Busoga North police spokesperson, Michael Kasadha confirms the incident and says the suspect voluntarily handed herself over to police authorities has since been detained at Kamuli central police station awaiting prosecution.
