The growing concern about the frail health status of the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has prompted the kingdom authorities to release a statement.
A communication from Bulange Mengo indicates the the premier of Buganda Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga will be addressing a presser on Friday afternoon .
While attending his 66th birthday celebrations at Lubiri Mengo on Tuesday the 14th April 2021 the Kabaka confirmed rumors he was unwell when he showed up unusually frail.
Soon after that videos of the Buganda King started circulating stirring concern in the public on what was happening to him.
In a statement issued Wednesday, siblings to the Kabaka, without offering details of his health condition, said that whereas he has been unwell, he is responding to treatment very well.
“Ssabasajja (Kabaka) has been unwell for a while. However, he has responded well to the prescribed medication and his medical team is positive about his prognosis,” they said.
It is highly believed that the upcoming presser will address the concerns about the Kabaka’s condition
