Buganda Blasts Social Media Antics
The Buganda Kingdom has blasted social media players taking advantage of Kabaka’s health condition to spread false propaganda about his health with an aim to destroy the Kingdom.
According to a statement released by Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II’s press secretary, Sam Dick Kasolo says there is a need to guard against ”speculative, false and out rightly malicious allegations circulating on social media”
He says the Buganda enemies on social media persons are also behind false allegations that the Kabaka has passed on in hospital on account of poison.
“The malicious falsehoods have ranged from an allegation that the Kabaka had passed away last year or that he was admitted on an emergency basis to Nakasero Hospital a few days ago”
Dick Kasolo says the aim of the social media antics is to throw the Buganda Kingdom into jeopardy with the purpose of melting a kingdom built on solid ground. He adds that the same group is targeting Katikkiro and other officials.
“There are also pointed attacks against senior members of the Royal Family, the Katikkiro, and officials of the Kabaka’s government as well as against eminent Buganda personalities. In fact, there is a clear and discernible plot by those enemies of Buganda to use this opportunity to weaken the Kingdom by creating rifts amongst the people of Buganda and undermining the Kabaka’s officials, especially the Katikkiro, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga and other Kabaka’s strong supporters.

Dick Kasolo has warned the public and Buganda subjects to beware of such clicks and disregard their propaganda.
“Do not lend a hand to the enemies of Buganda and Uganda by spreading false information which is intended to cause fear, alarm, and undue excitement. The effort to weaken the Kingdom shall not succeed. The disguised, concern for the Kingdom should not deceive anyone”
