Kisoro police have launched investigations into circumstances that led a a 32 yr old man decided to hang himself in Nyarusiza sub-county, Kisoro district.
The deceased is Emmanuel Ziragora, a resident of Karambi village who hanged himself with a rope in his bedroom on Saturday morning.
Ziragora has been leaving with his children alone, since his wife left following concerns that he wanted to kill himself.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson says prior to his death, Ziragora had confided in his friends that he would commit suicide.
Maate says the friends decided to report his threats to police and church leaders who subjected him to counseling.
He says the police also summoned Ziragora but he instead ran away to an unknown place.
Maate says that Ziragora’s body was found dangling on a rope in his bedroom by his children who later sounded an alarm hence attracting neigbors..
