Eddy Kenzo breaks own record as he appears on New York Times Square Billboard for the second time
Last week saw star singer Eddy Kenzo launch his album dubbed as “Made in Africa” at Kampala Fairway Hotel. Kenzo overwhelmingly got massive support from fellow musicians and other people in the entertainment industry as well as other well-wishers.
All these people have gone on to hail the album as a good one that every person should try to stream.
Over the weekend he took to his Twitter account to show his elation at how he had appeared on the famous New York times square.
“I’m on the #timessquare #billboard for the second time this time around for my latest album #madeinAfrica alongside #pimemusic partners. Go check out the no 1 album in Africa right now link in my bio ”, Kenzo tweeted.
Made In Africa features 12 tracks. He also redid some classics like the late Philly Bongole’s Born In Africa, Kanda Bongo Man’s monie and others.
The first time the singer appeared on the billboard was last year in September. He was promoting the African classic song “Missounwa” which he redid with Monique Seka.
This feat then made him the first Ugandan that ever appeared on the famous and prestigious New York Times square twice.
