JK Kazoora, the veteran TV personality, is unhappy that his old friend Barbie Kyagulanyi Itungo has, because of her newly found fame as the shadow First Lady, quickly forgotten many of her old time buddies to the extent they can’t access her anymore.
Kazoora, who recently returned to the screen with “Late Night with JK” which airs every Wednesday on NBS TV after VoA’s Straight Talk Africa program, says he has been desirous to host a televised debate on social issues and pat celebrity feuds between Bobi Wine’s wife Barbie Itungo, Chameleon’s wife Daniela Atim and Bebe Cool’s wife Zuena Kirema.
Like he has been doing with other old celebrities who he calls legends, Kazora wants the three celebrity wives to have a televised conversation reflecting on the past feuds their spouses used to have in their youth about 20 years ago. And he has dedicated next Tuesday 25th May to be their day to faceoff.
However, he says he has largely been frustrated because Barbie Itungo has been very elusive and this is how he is expressing his dismay at being shunned by Robert Kyagulanyi’s wife. “On Wednesday I’m planning to host the three ladies. I have already spoken to Daniela and Zuena who are very willing to participate in the show on NBS TV. However, I’m hitting a dead end because Barbie Kyagulanyi is being uncooperative. I have been calling and she doesn’t pick and even tried sending whatsApp messages and she only blue ticked me. It’s very unfair for Barbie Kyagulanyi of all people to be the one doing such a thing to a big celebrity like JK,” Kazora says.
He adds: “We have a lot of history which explains why it would be bad manners for her to blue tick me. Barbie this really isn’t right. My wife Patricia is your OG and my uncle Kazora Senior marries your auntie Naome Kabasharira. And when I used to host Jam Agenda on WBS TV, I was one of the very first people Bobi Wine approached for some publicity. He walked over to me, greeted me and proceeded to introduce himself. He said I like the way you do your things on that show and you are going to go very far. He then begged me for help saying ‘I’m called Bobi Wine an upcoming musician. Please promote me and I never hesitated because I saw a young man with a very bright future. But I’m now being demystified by Barbie Kyagulanyi despite all that history of working together with these people.”
