Day Of National Prayers
Uganda is registering Covid 19 infections and deaths at an usein bolt speed,calling for spiritual intervention.
And to this effect ,President Yoweri Museveni has directed that tomorrow Friday, June 25th a public holiday to hold national prayers.
The president evoked Section 2(2) of the Public Holidays Act for national prayers following a spike in Covid19 infections across the country.
The prayers will be held at State House Entebbe at mid-day and religious leaders will lead the prayers using zoom.

Statistics from the Health Ministry indicate that Uganda has registered 126 deaths in a period of 4 days alone bringing the death toll to 752.
According to the health ministry, 1.127 persons are currently hospitalized at various hospitals countrywide.
Currently, the cumulative number of infections stands at 74.260,752 deaths and over 50.000 recoveries.
Pastor Robert Kayanja will represent the Born Again Christians from Lubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral, Seventh-day Adventist Uganda Union, Kireka hill, Lubaga Cathedral, St, Nicholas Cathedral Namungoona for the Orthodox, All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero for Protestants, and the Gadhafi National Mosque, Old Kampala for the Muslim faithful.A statement from state house
Members of the public have been asked to attend to prayers from their homes through radios, TVs, and social media channels that will relay the prayers live.
