Kamasanyu Attackers

Police in Kampala has asked attackers of the Buganda road chief magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu to report themselves to police before they are captured.

This comes as police revealed that they have leads on the suspects responsible for attacking the magistrate on Saturday.

Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said their investigations progressing and further details will be communicated on Monday.

”The detectives have told me that they have good leads. Our main objective now is to arrest the suspects. We are proceeding well to meeting our objective. The details will be shared later,” Owoyesigyire says

However, a police source says the suspects should report themselves to the police immediately with items stolen.

Kamasanyu Attackers

Police sources say area CCTV cameras 50 metres away from the scene on both sides captured the motorcyclists riding to the scene.

“It should be in the suspects’ advantage to report themselves to the police immediately with the stolen bag and its content and the motorcycles they used in the robbery rather than for us picking them,” the source said.

Boda Boda cyclists attacked and badly injured Kamasanyu with a blunt object at Greenhill Academy on Mbogo Road,  Kibuli, and run away with her bag.

Kamasanyu was left unconscious before she would approach Greenhill Academy to obtain her child’s Primary Leaving Examination -PLE results.
