Olympics Winners pass on good luck to Mrs. Uganda, Namutebi.
The people of the hour, Olympics golden medalists Joshua Cheptegei and Peruth Chemutai came out to pass on some of their good luck and encouragement to Mrs.Uganda – Sylvia Namutebi Allibhai. Sylvia who celebrated her birthday last weekend will be representing Uganda in the Mrs.World competitions in Las Vegas in January 2022.
In a video shared on Instagram, one of the jolly Olympics Winners Cheptegei who also serves as Tourism ambassador, representing the Ugandan Silverback, and Chemutai sent their heartfelt wishes to Sylvia in the upcoming competitions.
In the same spirit, we wish Sylvia the very best and pray for gold.
Sylvia Namutebi was born to Paul Ssekuwanda in Wakiso, Uganda. She holds a degree in Human Resources Management from Makerere University Business School.
Namutebi resigned from her job to contest for Miss Uganda 2011. Namutebi, at the age of 23, beat all the eighteen contestants to take up the crown, replacing Heyzme Nansubuga.
She represented Uganda at Miss World that year. In 2019, she returned to the Miss Uganda pageant as a judge.
Namutebi is engaged to Ugandan businessman Ali Alibhai in 2015 and the couple wed in 2017.
Namutebi is the reigning Mrs. World Uganda 2021 representative. She will be representing Uganda at the 43rd pageant to take place Uganda in the Mrs.World competitions in Las Vegas in January 2022.
