The Lion of Mogadishu, Late Gen Paul Lockech ‘s remains have been taken to his lavish mansion in Kira at Kitikifumba in Kira Division, for prayers and viewing.

The pallbearers rolling his coffin are UPDF officers at the rank of Major General, while the sword bearers are police officers at the rank of Commissioner.

A modest crowd comprised of senior police chiefs and Army Generals as well as relatives graced the function to pay their last respect to the deceased before the body is taken to its forever resting place in Pader.

The Police Joint Chief of Staff Brig. General Jackson Bakasamba represented IGP Ochola Okoth who was absent at the requiem mass because he is unwell.

On Thursday 26.08.2021, the body will leave Kampala for his home in Baibir village, Ludele parish, Pader Town Council, in Pader District where he will be laid to rest.

The burial will be with full honors from the Police, while the gun salute will be presented by the UPDF.

One could not help but notice the grief and pain that filled the deceased’s home as the body lay cold in a brown coffin covered with the Ugandan flag.

Maj Gen Lokech succumbed to a blood clot according to a post-mortem report by a team of 4 pathologists.

He sustained a simple fracture which was being managed at RUBY Medical Centre, by an Orthopedic Surgeon as an outpatient, with regular reviews.

Maj Gen Lokech however started having increased pain in the right leg in the last 2-3days, he notified his Orthopedic Surgeon, who scheduled an appointment for him on 21.08.2021, at around 8.30 am -900am.
