While appearing on NBS Morning Breeze on Monday, the Nakawa East MP pointed out;

” For me, it’s the laxity of security forces in the country. I was having a chat with Hon. Kyagulanyi that maybe he should go and camp in Masaka for some days, you will see the amount of security deployed, ” said Hon. SSenyonyi.

He further stated that the killings in Masaka have been on for over a month and the assailants notify people of the areas they are going to raid.

Meanwhile Police spokesperson, Fred Enang has already arrested about 15 people suspected to be among the criminals terrorizing and butchering Masaka residents.

“It’s almost five weeks since these murders started. The assailants according to preliminary investigations had established three cells. They have been attacking the elderly, and other vulnerable people found walking beyond curfew.

Our joint team continues to pursue important clues characteristic of these assailants, for example, dropping leaflets warning residents that they are going to attack them,” said Enanga.

Afande Enang further noted that the assailants who he says are sponsored use motorbikes and vehicles.

“We are looking at engaging the relatives of the most vulnerable, the elderly. We want to come up with a protection arrangement for them, especially those staying alone. We want to ensure that at least the elderly are isolated during this period,” he said.

Bobi Wine on Masaka killings…

Over the weekend, Bobi also took to his socials and added a voice about the rampant killings by Panga welding men.

In a lengthy post, Bobi faulted the government and security Agencies for taking long to find an immediate solution to calm down the situation.

“Comrades, it is apparent that in order to hide its own incompetence in stopping the serial murders, the regime either deliberately exaggerated its role in curbing the first wave, or has not been entirely truthful about its investigations into the motive and criminals behind the murders. At best, the regime is as clueless about these murders as we are.”, his statement partly reads.
