The was tension at the Buganda road court on Monday afternoon after the presiding Magistrate failed to locate 2 FDC suspects remanded for stagging a protest with baby coffins at Mulago hospital

The Forum For Democratic Change -FDC suspects were arrested for staging a protest demanding the resignation of the Ministry of Health -MOH permanent Secretary-PS Diana Atwine.

Consequently, the suspects including Agustine Ojabile and Shariff Kawooya were arrested and remanded to Kitalya and Luzira prisons until, September 5th.

However, while appearing for the mention of their case, the law development magistrate Alule Augustine attempted to teleconference with the suspects via zoom in vain.

After getting in touch with Luzira and Kitalya prisons in vain, tension started to build in the court chambers prompting the presiding magistrate to adjourn for 20 minutes

The lawyer representing the suspects David Lutalo established that the suspects were at Murchison bay prisons and were unable to appear on zoom.

He proceeded to ask the court to grant the suspects bail on grounds that their crime is bailable and had substantial sureties.

Among the sureties included; Tusime Anna, Nakabugo Brenda both businesswomen.

Magistrate Alule granted the suspects a non-cash bail of 5 million shillings and a noncash bond to the sureties of 10million shillings
