After leaving many in awe by flaunting his swanky home in Dar es Salaam, it turns out that Wasafi Records CEO Diamond Platnumz is just renting the mansion, this website understands.
Apparently the multibillion crib had been put up for sale a few months ago but none of the customers could afford it. Therefore, the owner who has been identified as OG Lazaro decided to rent the house to Diamond for $2500 per month.
This was revealed by a close source to the businessman shortly after Diamond came out to claim he had built the house himself.

With the stories making rounds on social media , the real estate agents apparently edited the price of the house to TSh 2 billion ( about UGX 3,083,800,00), which apparently the TZ sensational singer coughed.
According to several Tanzanian news outlets, Lazaro is among the wealthiest men in Bongo Land. He however prefers to maintain a low profile but thanks to Mange Kimambi, a renown Journalist working with E-FM Radio 93.7 FM, we now have photos of the fella!
His former manager accuses him of faking riches…
This year in October, Diamond’s former manager Ostaz Juma Na Musoma accused him of flossing and faking riches.
Ostaz, who’s harnessed a reputation in the Tanzanian entertainment industry for grooming artists into superstars, made the sensational claim during an interview with Simulizi Na Sauti, a Tanzanian outlet.
“They (artists) should stop it. They fake very many things,” he claimed, while also confessing he was part of the game in the past.
The former manager who doubles up as a producer also claimed to have been part of the ‘faking’ game in the past and urged artists to live a normal life so as not to put pressure on themselves.
“We used to fake our performance fees. We would give a higher figure but take whatever the client offers and this is what most artists do to date, including Diamond.” “He (Diamond) is living a lie and everyone believes it. That is how the industry is nowadays. It is part of the route to get to the top. I advise them to stop that and be real.”
Diamond, real name Juma Naseeb, has carved a reputation in the recent past as one of, if not the most popular musicians in East Africa. In the recent past, his social media pages have been awash with images of palatial homes and expensive cars that he reportedly owns.
The 31-year old has also shared images of himself flying aboard private planes.
