Faded musician Oscar Bigtym alias Oscar lost his music path and was recently found by fellow singer Bruno K who offered help.

Among other musicians who came to the rescue of the bedridden singer is Pallaso who donated UGX 1 Million.

However, Bruno K is not satisfied with the help rendered especially from the Uganda Musicians Association that was majorly created to help musicians.

According to Bruno K, UMA’s main goal is how to get money from the Government not how to help musicians just like any other organization. “If their goal was to help musicians, they would have helped Oscar. But they are always thinking about money from the Government.” Bruno K said.

The “Omuwala” singer has also questioned the togetherness spirit among the musicians in Uganda.

Singer Bruno K is not the first Ugandan musician to criticize the Uganda Musicians Association and it’s ways of operation.

Over the recent past, the likes of Jose Chameleone, Pallaso. Kabako, Feffe Buusi criticized the association before forming their own, Uganda Superstars Federation which massively faded.

What is UMA?

The Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) is licensed by the National Union of Creative Performing Artists and Allied Workers (NUCPAAW), to represent musicians, producers, and artist managers.

UMA exists to protect, promote and preserve Ugandan music, and advocate for the interests of its members to the government, the music industry, the media, and the public.
