Fully armed journalist Andrew Mwenda gives records self inside UPDF chopper as he gives update of ADF hunt inside Congo forest

Veteran senior journalist Andrew Mwenda yesterday evening raised a few eye brows on social media after he shared a video of himself inside an M1-24 attack Helicopter inside UPDF bases in Congo.

Andrew who was dressed in full combat uniform is seen sited in the pilot’s cockpit freely enjoying the war bomber as he jokingly declares defeat against the deadly ADF rebels.

‘Okay. Am right now in the caption’s cockpit for the M-24 attack helicopter.Am going to bomb the hell out of the ADF in Congo and by tomorrow you going to see masses of them surrendering at the border. So media prepare for my assault on them in Congo”

Sources say Mwenda was given the opportunity to cover the UPDF Suja operation against the ADF soldiers by his cousin brother Major General Kayanja Muhag.

On seeing Mwenda freely donning the UPDF uniforms, opposition has come out to castigate the move citing double standards as government always arrests NUP supporters that done army attires like the infamous red beret

”Here is Andrew Mwenda, posing in a military chopper putting on a full military uniform. On the other hand, 100s of NUP supporters are still in jails, being tortured simply b’se the regime accused them of putting on red berets! This sickening abuse in our country will end some day” a NUP twitter handle posted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67MJyqSw6S4&list=RDeO_NN7rNxcM&index=13 Fully
