Will sensational ‘funeral announcer’ Mzee Godfrey Jjemba Matte, after all these lavish treats, go back to Mbulakati village? Certainly. The clock is already ticking but that will be a story for another day!
Whatever he missed in his early hustle days, he is literally enjoying it to the fullest.
Undoubtedly at 63, Mzee Jjemba is the man of the moment, a ‘Selebilite’ (read celebrity), popping champagne as he checks out his iPhone, sipping on cocktails before heading to the spa for deep tissue massage. And yes, you guessed right – warding off female company ever since he landed a windfall.
He has since ditched his trademark blue shirt and faded blue jeans…no longer the ordinary man y’all used to know. He is living the good life; chilling with the big boys and big bummed women!
In his latest interview with Lugambo mercenary, Kayz Kawalya the grey-haired man expressed his bitterness after insinuating that very soon, he would be back to his village to farm.

Like Red Banton sings: ‘Sijja kuva Kampala nganye, nemedeko nganye’, Mzee Jjemba was quick to tell Kayz off and cautioned him never to talk about village stories, for they bring him bad memories.
During the interview, Jjemba, who had a juicy babe chilling right beside him as he sipped on passion fruit juice, rubbished claims that he is too old to eat life with a big spoon and also bonk.
“…See, who says these things are created for only young ones? Well, she knows that I’m old but still chilling with me.”
Asked whether he will go with the new catch back to Mbulakati village when tough times come, Jjemba was quick to respond, “…No way, watch your mouth! Women like these are not meant to live in villages. I will take care of her very well. I cannot allow grass,” he fussed before cautioning bully Kayz to stop predicting failure over his love life.
Words like peasant no longer exist in his repertoire. He replaced them with words like ‘Tusimbudde’, ‘Enjoyment ku Enjoyment’, all those famous lines which partiers use while eating money.
Mzee Godfrey Jjemba Matte became an online sensation, with thousands of memes dedicated to him. He is now harvesting what he sowed!
