Uganda Breweries has launched its latest premium beer brand, the Tusker Cider on the Ugandan market. It was officially unveiled at a colorful ceremony held at Legends Rugby Grounds on Thursday. The evening featured lots of engaging activities including games and challenges that saw lucky guests rewarded with gift hampers, but the Azawi performance was really the icing on the cake.

With the night economy just re-opened, and most revelers glad to be “outside” again for the first time in nearly two years, the crowd could not contain their excitement when Azawi’s performance was announced. The crowd gave off a rapturous scream to welcome her to the stage.

Dressed in denim jeans and a black t-shirt, she ambled onto the stage singing her smash hit single, “My Year”, Azawi went on to perform several of her other hit songs including “Quinamino”, “Party mood”, and “Repeat it” among others, much to the delight of the crowd which had now converged by the stage and singing along.

Azawi concluded her performance by inviting the fans to join her on stage for a “slow dance”, after which she left the stage to Dj Roja and Slick Stuart. The deejaying duo carried on the party, playing a mix of trending hit songs as revelers danced the night away.

The launch ceremony was hosted by TV personality, Sheila Salta, who was also unveiled as the Tusker Cider brand ambassador.

Meanwhile, the Tusker Cider is a rich and flavorful drink made from the finest quality apples.
