We all know singer Pallaso has been musically on fire for the past three years. The self-proclaimed King Of The East, could be statistically, the most played artist on both TV and radio stations in the land, currently.
Actually, during the two-year-ban on music shows and nightlife, many artists seemed doomed and went into slumber but Pallaso, instead, concentrated on dropping mega hit after hit.
With songs like Malamu, which won song of the year in Zzina Award 21 , Nalonda Nemala and Mpa Love, Ani Oyo, Hana, he bossed airwaves and bagged music accolades in the roost. With the restrictions on the entertainment industry lifted, the star singer from the Mayanja family, is currently on a National wide music tour, filling one venue after another.
To hire him for a show, a promoter has to part with UGX 10M and above! That’s how expensive he is. Edward Ssendi, a renowned entertainment pundit and events organizer, says he recently wanted to book Pallaso for the Easter Monday show, but to his shock, he was asked to cough a whooping UGX 15m!
Over the weekend, the reigning Zzina Awards artist of the year announced the dates for his highly-anticipated two-day concert set to happen at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
He is determined to make history by joining the ‘big boys’ by holding a concert at the 20,000-capacity cricket oval.
He took to Twitter to announce July 1 and 2 as the official dates for the concert.
“Hello my people, thank you for always lifting me so high. Please let’s keep this appointment. I can’t make history without you. Dates set,” he wrote.
This will be Pallaso’s third concert, if all goes according to plan. Meanwhile, he is nominated in the Artist of the year category in this year’s Zzina Awards. Click HERE to vote for your favorite artists.
