A viscous husband has fled into hiding after attacking his wife and mother to the couple’s five children with a hot sauce pan of beans in a domestic brawl.
Waligo Richard, a landlord and resident of Lost City Nsambya, Kampala inflicted serious burn injuries on his wife Namawsa Esther on Monday March 10,2022, at 11:00 am after he found her playing Ludo in the company of other male neighbours.
Namwasa who owns a local restaurant a few meters from her home is currently nursing injuries she sustained to the lower back and buttocks at home. She lies on her stomach all day in grave pain while her children aged between ten and two years stare in utter shock and tears.
The victim has reported the matter to police at Kabalagala Police and a hunt for the suspect is currently ongoing.
Namwasa told our Galaxy Fm reporter Minah Nalule that she was shocked by Waligo’s actions considering the couple had a peaceful morning. She narrates that three children fell ill on Sunday and were rushed by the couple to hospital where they were put on canulars and asked to return for medication the following day at 11:00 am.
Namwasa says on Monday she gave Waligo UGX 4000 shillings to buy charcoal and beans to put on fire for her restaurant business while she proceeds to hospital with the sick children. He later returned and burned her with hot beans.
