Sean Paul gives Ring Rapper chance to shine

Last year in May, Lugaflo rap sensation, Ring Rapper Ratata, real name, Jonathan Ssenabulya, jumped on US-based Jamaican star, Sean Paul’s ‘Like Glue’ cover challenge and remarkably mashed it up. Many people had also recorded and shared their challenges, but it was the 14-year-old’s clip that left netizens hooked.

The video clip of Ring Rapper’s challenge was extensively shared across all social media platforms.

Luckily enough, the cover challenge reached Sean Paul’s handlers, who were irresistibly moved! They also shared the sensational clip with their boss and indeed he was equally impressed by Ring Rapper’s immense talent. The Atlantic Record Label star instructed his management to write to Ring Rapper in appreciation.

Sean Paul’s team appreciated him for the outstanding cover and promised to uplift his talent in any way possible.

“Dear Mr Ring Rapper Ratata, We are here to congratulate you on the Like Glue cover project. Indeed you are talented. We have grand plans to work and support you. Please forward us that video on the email below…,” the Mail from Sean Paul’s management read.

Just as he pledged to give the youngster a helping hand, Sean Paul has fulfilled his promise. The pair, who have been in touch since then, recently hit the music studio and recorded a song, titled Freezer. The song is not yet out but Ring cannot just keep calm like a bettor, who has hit a jackpot with Kagwirawo. He has kept his fans on their toes as he dangles at their mouth, a snippet of the song, which is still in the pipeline.

“A Ring Rapper…” he introduces himself, before the Jamaican icon chips in with his name too in a Patois accent. “Alongside Sean P, music clayi me alright…” he serenades as he gives the 14-year-old Ugandan star a chance to shine. “…Mi nuh go let dem know where I go, triple R and Sean rocking never before, though the sky is so high me still go, but we still dodge up on the goal…” Ring sings in the teaser, which runs for 26-sec.

Ring Rapper hopes that this song will introduce him to the world internationally.
