Frank Gashumba likens Bobi Wine deeds to Muhoozi

Frank Gashumba claims that the only difference between Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the National Unity Platform (NUP) honcho, Bobi Wine, is their similarity.

Gashumba made the statement while clapping back at opposition disciples, who skinned the First Son, who doubles as the UPDF Commander of Land Forces, for organizing a lavish birthday party.

The birthday bash was organized over the weekend at Lugogo Cricket Oval, where thousands of attendees were treated to free booze, food and entertainment by top Ugandan artists like Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Winnie Nwagi, Azawi and many others. The bash was followed with a State Dinner, attended by Sevo and Paul Kagame of Rwanda on Sunday.

However, all that left a bad taste in the mouth of several opposition politicians and disciples, with a big section requesting the Inspector General of Government (IGG) to investigate the source of funds used and crack the whip, if there are any loopholes.

Speaking during an interview with NBS Barometer, this week on Tuesday, Frank Gashumba, a social and political commentator, was quick to somewhat defend Muhoozi and advised those ridiculously castigating him to eat humble pie. Gashumba reminded them that even the opposition chaps, including Bobi Wine and his NUP disciples, have been organizing expensive parties across the country, as if they are no longer struggling.

“Those who want to portray Muhoozi as extremely extravagant, they (Bobi and opposition members) keep engaging in wedding ceremonies everyday. They say that they are in a struggle, but engaging in first class things. Their children go to international schools,” Gashumba noted, in a blockbuster interview.

Gashumba further pointed out that as they keep making such bashes, they tend to forget that many of their supporters remain doomed and enrolled at Kitalya University of Understanding (read prison).

“Their supporters are in Kitalya, but they keep deceiving people that they are in a struggle and are fighting for the common man. So, they are all the same, whether in NUP, DP, FDC or NRM. They are all the same,” Gashumba said.

Gashumba, who apparently attended Muhoozi ‘s birthday party, has also received a share of bashing for rubbing shoulders with the yellow bus passengers yet he portrays and identifies himself as an opposition member.
