News coming through indicate that Democratic Party president Hon Nobert Mao has been appointed Minister for Justice & constitutional affairs.

It should be noted that the Democratic Party (DP) president general met with the NRM party chairman H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and signed a ‘cooperation agreement,’ with the latter stressing that the cooperation will be enjoyed most by the unborn children as he urged the NRM chairman to “gather patriots that are scattered all over the country and other political parties.”

“I met with Democratic Party President Norbert Mao at State House Entebbe. We signed a cooperation agreement between the NRM and the DP. I salute the DP leadership for this gesture of mature, foresighted and constructive politics,” President Museveni tweeted Wednesday alongside a 52 second video.

As social media is still discussing Mao’s private meeting with Museveni, a bomb has been dropped this afternoon that the eloquent DP general has been appointed as Minister for Justice and constitutional affairs.

In a letter shared by the Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Director Farouk Kirunda, the president confirms Mao’s appointment through powers bestowed upon him by the constitution of Uganda.

Norbert Mao is a Ugandan political activist and lawyer. He has been president of the Democratic Party since 2010, three time presidential candidate and he served as the Local Council 5 chairman for Gulu District for one term
