Although the concert was fairly priced at UGX 5,000 (early bird tickets) and UGX 10,000 at the entrance, there were fears it would be shunned owing to the fact that many revellers want to identify with classy and expensive concerts.
By 8:00 Pm, the MTN sponsored concert teemed with party animals. Whereas it was hard to put an estimation on the numbers, Gravity took to social media to claim they were over 30,000.
”Over 30,000 people in one place. God did it. Mukama webale. Lugogo Cricket Oval shutdown,” he wrote.
As Gravity performed his songs, the fans sang along and enjoyed every bit especially for his innuendo laden song ‘Enyama etalina ggumba’. The highlights were also hogged by another artiste Kabako whose energetic performance caused the stage to cave in.
It was the third time in his music career that Gravity was holding a concert at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
After the show, the hoarse core rapper unleashed his ‘braggadocio’ artilleries on not only Bobi Wine and nemesis, Bebe Cool but also Jose Chameleone, claiming that the music industry does not need the three mentioned artist anymore, for they have nothing new to offer.
“Have you seen Chameleone, Bobi Wine or Bebe Cool here today? So, why do we need them? They own farms, they are rich. Let them concentrate on rearing their cows and farming, and leave music for us,” Gravity lashed out.
He bragged about filling up the gigantic venue to the brim, more than Chameleone has ever did and went on to advise the 42-year-old distinguished music maestro to retire since he is old a loaded man.
