Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba
Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has lauded his wife, Charlotte Kainerugaba, for standing by him for the last 23 years.
The 4-star General and his wife were attending a gathering of friends and supporters last evening at the Skyz Hotel in Naguru when he revealed that about two or three days into their wedding, he was on an aircraft to Sandhurst for military training.

Gen. Muhoozi joined the army on August 14, 1999; 3 weeks after their marriage.
His wife, Charlotte, has been part of his military journey.

According to Muhoozi, they did not go on honeymoon after their marriage.
“We went straight into that life but she has been my very strong supporter. You see she is quiet but when we get home and the door gets closed, she becomes a five-star general,” Gen. Muhozi said.
His speech came hours after he was decorated a full army General (4-star) at an event held at the UPDF Land Forces headquarters in Bombo.
During the same event, he handed over the office (of Commander, UPDF Land Forces) to Lt Gen Kayanja Muhanga.

Gen. Muhoozi pledged more time with his supporters now that he does not hold an office that would ordinarily take much of his time, like it was in the Land Forces.
