A serial thigh vendor operating on the streets of the Kawempe Division in Kampala has been netted by police for sedating her clients before running off with their valuables.
The suspect, Lydia Nakayizi Asiimwe alias Hope Kalungi has been on police warrant for two months now after various police stations in the area registered numerous complaints from men falling prey to her sinister charm.
Kalungi’s name has been recorded at Kawempe police station, Mpererwe, Kazo Angola, and other Police Posts in Kawempe division by depressed men who have been robbed in lodges and bars after loosing consciousness.
Victims allege that the suspect smears the nipples of her breasts with sedatives, moments before bonking sessions, causing them to drown in sleep while she steals from them and flees. Kalungi has also been accused of spiking men’s drinks in bars and later disappearing with their property.
One of her victims is a Lieutenant in the UPDF who August this year, reported to Kawempe police station after Kalungi had drugged him inside his vehicle and stole all his valuables.
The Lieutenant revealed to police that he met Kalungi in a bar and her appearance struck him. He explained that they talked and eventually agreed to have a pleasant time together.
“We sat in my car but I regained consciousness when I was alone and everything on me had been taken. Kindly help me get this woman. I have collected CCTV footage from the bar and I can ably identify her if she is arrested,” the Lieutenant revealed.
Fred Enanga, the Uganda Police Spokesperson says Kalungi was netted after her latest victim drugged inside Queen’s bar in Mpererwe reported her. Enanga says the suspect drove with her victim to the lodge where she allegedly robbed him of three million Shillings and ATM cards.
“This victim told us that this suspect drugged him and then carried him into her car up to the lodge where she stripped and robbed him. He claims his three million Shillings was stolen, ATM cards pin codes were cracked and they withdrew 10 million Shillings,” Enanga explained.
Security sources say Kalungi makes men who suck her sedated nipples. They then dose off within minutes.
Enanga has warned men and members of the public to be careful with strangers they meet and interact with in bars.
He says that people should know that spiking drinks is a common offense and that they need to be very careful.
In most cases, such tricks are used by criminals targeting females for rape or money-loaded revelers. It was common on Salama road in Makindye, Katwe, and Kibuye about three years ago.
