The East African Court of Justice (EACJ) has on Thursday resumed its November rotational Sessions at the Commercial Court in Kampala.

The 1st matter that was brought before Court for Scheduling Conference is Reference No.23 of 2019 Nzabimana Edourd v. The Attorney General of the Republic of Burundi, a matter of land dispute.

The Applicants represented by Counsel Jet Tumwebaze, prayed to Court to grant them more time to file an amendment in the Reference to specifically include Special damages.

Court allowed the prayer by the Applicants and ordered that the amended Statement of the Reference be filed to Court by Monday 7th November while the Respondent are expected to file the reply by 11th November and the Scheduling Conference held on 18th November 2022.

The Respondent was represented by Counsel Vyizigiro Diomede representing the Attorney General of Burundi.

Ms. NZABIMANA Francoise, the widow of the deceased Applicant was present in Court.
