Killed ADF rebels
On Sunday night, security forces raided and put out of action two of seven rebels attached to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
The rebels were shot dead by officers from the flying squad and crime intelligence during a fire exchange at Kitto village, Matugga in Wakiso District. The officers carried out an intelligence led crackdown on a rental apartment belonging to seven ADF remnants who creeped in from the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The deceased have been identified as Hakim Kajubi and another only identified as Muhanguzi.
Fred Enanga, the Uganda Police Spokesperson says security operatives recovered explosive devices that were kept in a bag belonging to the rebels.

He told journalists at the police headquarters in Naguru that a team of other officers from forensics, counter terrorism, bomb squad and K9 visited the scene and documented evidence.
Enanga has linked the deceased rebels to attacks on Busiika police station that saw three police officers gunned down by unknown assailants. He adds that the same dead suspects attacked and burned down Kyabadaaza police station before releasing two of their colleagues who had just been arrested.
According to Enanga, the same group killed two civilians at Kasule, Ayanguwa village in Kyabadaaza.
“This operation followed several intelligence leads and it was successful since we managed to get the right perpetrators who were behind the attacks on police stations.” said Enanga
He further stated that similar operations are ongoing to weed out all criminals or rebels terrorizing locals or piloting attacks.
