Couple kills, buries six- year- old son
Police in Kamuli have arrested a man and his wife for killing their six year old son and burying his lifeless body in the compound behind their residence.
The deceased, six-year-old son, Idhi Ekiritoyo was buried in a shallow grave by his parents for unknown reasons.
The suspects who remain in custody at Kamuli central police station have been identified as Godffrey Musenero and his wife, Viola Namwebya, both residents of Bususwa village, in Nabuwigulu sub-county.
Locals allege that the couple has been torturing the deceased and his two year old sister by starving and locking them in the house. They claim that since Monday this week, the deceased had gone missing for two days , prompting them to inquire his whereabouts.
Against that background, locals stormed the deceased’s house and demanded that the parents explain where he disappeared to, they also found the a two-year-old girl tied up in the house.

After threatening to lynch them, the couple confessed to killing their son and burying him behind the house. They alerted the police, which inspected the scene of the crime and arrested the suspects.
Musenero has in a twist of events denied the allegations saying that the child died of unidentified sickness and they only buried him quietly for lack of funds to organize a decent funeral.
Busoga North Police Spokesperson, Michael Kasadha, says that the suspects face two counts of child neglect and murder. He says that the couple was fond of starving and beating up their children unsparingly, prompting the intervention of officers from the Police Child and Family Protection Unit-CFPU.
