Pictures: Hundreds of Christians participate in way of the cross to Old Kampala for prayers
Today thousands of believers have gathered at Old Kampala SS grounds to hold joint prayers under the Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC) to mark Good Friday celebrations.
UJCC is an interfaith / ecumenical body in Uganda which unites three major churches/ Christian denominations including the Roman Catholic, orthodox and the Anglican Church.
Led by Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere, Christian faithfuls gathered at Lubaga cathedral in Kampala as for the way of the cross and walked for over two hours to Old Kampala. In the crowd was Minister for Gender Betty Amongi, Samuel Mukaku a political activist among others.
