Singer Deus Ndugwa, popularly known by the stage name Grenade Official, has had another brush with the law.
Photos of the shirtless singer looking knackered and bleeding from the corners of his mouth emerged online on Thursday night, June 1.
A short video clip of the singer spewing profanities directed at security operatives was shared. An unidentified man on the scene narrates that Grenade insulted security guards. When they asked him to positively identify himself, he said he was a celebrity and they should find more about him on the internet.
According to the source, it was after Grenade threw punches that he was overpowered and subdued. It was the area LC chairman who mobilised transport that saw Grenade whisked away to Kajjansi Police Station on Entebbe Road.
The irony is that the incident happened exactly one year after Grenade was whisked to the same police station after engaging in a fist fight with his then girlfriend, Abdul Aziz Kilooto.
Grenade, who spent a night behind the coolers, had been accused by his ex-lover of criminal trespass and threatening violence. He was later released on police bond.
