Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, has described women as “God on earth.”

According to him, “God is definitely a woman.”

The Starboy honcho said his music is to celebrate women from all cultures, stressing that he was raised around “strong women.”

Wizkid stated this in a recent interview with Evening Standard UK.

He said, “To me, women are God on earth. God is definitely a woman, for sure. What’s more powerful than creating a life? My music is here to make women feel good from all cultures. It celebrates them. They’re valued. I was raised around strong women, so it means I cater more for women with my sound, you know? Being raised by women made me understand their full range of emotions. It is a beautiful thing.”

Meanwhile, Wizkid has also revealed why he rarely makes political comments in his music and interviews. According to him, the Nigerian masses don’t care about politics, saying they only care about how to make ends meet. Wizkid made the assertion in the same interview.

He said, “I don’t like to speak about politicians in Nigeria. People in the streets care about themselves and what they are going to eat. They don’t give a f*ck about nothing else.”
