The first leg of this Mwenge derby had the fans on the edge of their seats as the two teams battled fiercely for a spot in the championship match.

The game began on a warm Friday afternoon, with a huge crowd of enthusiastic sports fans filling the stadium to capacity. Mwenge South wasted no time taking the initiative, and their efforts paid off as Olland found the back of the net in the first half with a well-placed strike, putting his team in the lead.

Saturday, 29th July 2023 – Kyembogo Datic Playground. Kyembogo Datic playground witnessed another dramatic semi-final clash as Kyaka County took on Burahya County. The match had one of the largest crowds since the start of the tournament, and the fans were treated to an intense encounter.

In the 55th minute of the second half, the stadium erupted with cheers as Felix Atwisa, the rising star from Kyaka County, scored the decisive goal. He soared high above the defenders to head the ball into the back of the net, giving his team a thrilling victory.

The championship match, scheduled for 12th August at Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal City, will be a momentous occasion graced by the presence of King Oyo of Tooro Kingdom himself. The finalists will compete for the coveted MTN Masaza Cup trophy and the generous cash prize of Shs 5 Million, while the runners-up will receive Shs 2.5 million, ensuring that the stakes remain high in the pursuit of victory.
