Burna Boy is now the most streamed artist on YouTube in Sub-Saharan Africa, kicking Diamond Platnumz from the summit, a spot the TZ star has enjoyed for the past three years.
As of now, Burna Boy’s YouTube channel has accrued over 2,252,124,206 views dwarfing Diamond’s 2,246,395,673 views and counting. The Nigerian Grammy Award winner opened up his channel in 2018, while Diamond joined the famous streaming platform on June 12, 2012.
However, Diamond Platnumz still reigns supreme with the highest number of subscribers with his channel boasting more than 7.98 million subscribers. In comparison, Burna Boy has accumulated over 4.13 million subscribers.
On the list, Wizkid comes third, whose videos have garnered at least 1.76 billion views.
The King of Lingala and Rhumba, Fally Ipupa, secures the fourth position on the list with 1.50 billion views, while Nigerian sensation Davido follows closely at number 5 with 1.40 billion views. Our very own Grammy Award nominee, Eddy Kenzo is not allowed to peep on the list which features seven other artists.
