What has caught my attention in this particular sensational jam from Yowa Shoky, is nothing but the chorus. ‘Nasuze Zzana nga Nzina… Wasuze wa? Nasuze mu kibaala nga Nzina’, is a hook in this song that will either make you love this song or even love it more, more so if you are ‘Zzavugiddewa?’ type.
Full of innuendos of sorts, Yowa Shoky makes sure he leaves you guessing which line he’s to drop again. ‘Nasuze Nzina’ is a typical danceable jam with groovy beats. It is like ‘Chai we’njaye song’ kind of song for only vibes, targeting youths.
The beat is a celebration of Ugandan percussion. Guitar strings, local Ugandan drums, and rhythms all unmistakably pay homage to the homeland.
Karma Ivan signs Yowa Shoky to replace Opa Fambo and Kappa Kat who recently ditched his label.
