Nigerian afrobeat superstar Ruger and Uganda’s Jose Chameleone were among the big-name artistes that graced the lavish wedding party of Music Promoter Bol Abuk and his bride Regina Lual on Saturday evening.
The businessman and son to late commander Kerbino Kuanyin Bol, wowed social media when he shed tears of joy during the vows exchange with his love at a Juba hotel
Ruger, the songster famous for his trademark eye-patch, surprisingly materialized at the party to perform to the wedding guests.
He had landed in South Sudan unannounced on Saturday – his second trip to the country since the mega Juba concert in October 2022.
“I am so happy for you, my brother. I have to come all the way from Nigeria to here to show you that I love you, my brother,” Ruger said briefly during the middle of the performance.
In compliments to the bride, Ruger said: “I love you my bro. You got a good woman here. You got me.”
The superstar who erupted to fame in 2019, said he is looking forward to getting married someday and having a moment like that.
“I am waiting for the day I am going to be married too.
You understand what I am saying? And you have to come to my wedding. Yeah, you have to come to my wedding,” Ruger said to Bol Abuk amid a cheering crowd.
Several musicians including Tanzania’s Jux, legendary Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone, and South Sudan’s Alijioma Mabil also headlined at the wedding.
