Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, has displaced Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz as the most streamed Sub-Saharan African artiste on YouTube.
Burna Boy has now amassed 2.52 Billion streams on the platform as against the 2.37 Billion streams by the Tanzanian star.
However, Diamond Platnumz still reigns supreme with the highest number of subscribers with his channel boasting more than 8.38 million subscribers. In comparison, Burna Boy has accumulated over 4.49 million subscribers.
Another Nigerian artiste, Wizkid is number three on the list of most streamed Sub-Saharan African artistes on YouTube with 1.83 billion streams, followed by by Congolese legend, Fally Ipupa with 1.61 billion streams, and Davido with 1.50 billion streams.
The Nigerian quintet of Rema (1.41 billion streams), CKay (1.30 billion streams), Flavour (1.19 billion streams), P Square (1.14 billion streams), and Tekno (1.01 billion streams) complete the top ten.
