Police in Wakiso are holding a female neighbor in connection with the theft of two million shillings from a local resident in Bulaga B, Sumbwe.
The victim (names omitted) reported the incident to Bulaga Police after the money was reportedly stolen from his house.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy Kampala Metropolitan spokesman, reports that the police’s canine team managed to locate the stolen money at the residence of Nansiiti Olivia, the complainant’s neighbor. They also found a box that had been deceitfully hidden with 770,000 shillings.
Owoyesigyire, says that since the canine unit’s skills was successful in locating and recovering the stolen funds in this particular case, the police are urging members of the public to come forward and request similar assistance in cases of theft.
