Unknown thugs are on the run after launching vicious attacks on two women in Bulenga, Wakiso District.
The gruesome assaults, believed to be carried out by the same gang, occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, leaving the community in shock.
The first victim, a young woman between 20 and 25 years old, was brutally murdered. Her lifeless body was discovered by locals around 8:00 AM, abandoned in an unfinished building after being repeatedly stabbed.
The police have since transported her body to the Mulago City Mortuary, but the killers remain at large.
In a horrifying twist, the same gang is suspected of attacking a second woman in Bulenga Village, Sumbwe Parish. The 40-year-old victim, identified as Namukwaya, was also stabbed and left for dead. Miraculously, she was found alive and rushed to Mulago Hospital, where she is currently fighting for her life.
Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesman Luke Owoyesigyire revealed that the police are pinning their hopes on Namukwaya’s recovery. Once stable, she may hold the key to unlocking the mystery of these terrifying attacks.
