MC Kats was displeased with a video in which Fille Mutoni talked about the HIV statuses of his ex-girlfriends during a media interview.
In the video, which was shared on social media Fille, speaking in Kinyarwanda, said that both she and her child are HIV negative, despite Kats being positive. She also revealed that the TV personality, whose real name is Edwin Katamba, has five other partners who are HIV-positive.
Commenting on the video, DJ Kamali observed: “This post should’ve focused on her negative status. But bringing other people, especially the kids, into it wasn’t fair. We need to consider the impact on their future and how it could lead to bullying at school and other places they go. It’s just not right, but what do I know?”
Kats responded to Kamali’s comment: “People love playing sympathy games just coz I kept quiet but ask arud how to deal with 7. years of drug addiction and what comes with it. Dnt involve my kids nor their mums coz you haven’t seen them anywhere ever talk and they wanna keep it that way. Clout chasing ain’t good.”
MC Kats and Fille Mutoni first met when she was still a university student, and he played a significant role in her music career, introducing her to the industry and using his connections to boost her growth as a singer.
In 2023, Fille disclosed that despite their romantic relationship ending, MC Kats continues to support and encourage her.
Since parting ways with MC Kats, Fille has faced numerous challenges, including battling drug addiction, which has impacted her music career and financial stability. She recently admitted to entering rehab to address these issues.
Kats and Fille were together for ten years before their breakup, which became public in 2019. They share a daughter, Abigail Farica Bwiza Kisakye.
