Police at Jinja Road Station have arrested Tumusiime Joshua, a known conman who allegedly used various aliases to defraud several companies across Kampala.

Tumusiime, posing as the head of a company called Twilight Holdings Limited, reportedly secured a lucrative contract with Grain Pulse Limited to transport fertilizer to clients in western Uganda.

He worked with a group of people including Conrad, Kalinda Jenesis, Arun Kumar, and Patel.

According to Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman, Tumusiime subcontracted the job to Lolyne Enterprises Limited but concealed his true identity, instead claiming he was a manager for Native Group Limited, a business purportedly owned by a Chinese national named Arun Kumar.

Grain Pulse Limited paid Tumusiime Shs 12 million for the job, but he allegedly disappeared with the funds, failing to pass on the payment to Lolyne Enterprises.

This case isn’t Tumusiime’s first run-in with the law; multiple complaints have been lodged against him at police stations across Kampala, including Kireka, CPS Kampala, Bweyogerere, and Jinja Road, all accusing him of similar fraudulent schemes.

Alongside his accomplice, Ssebalu Moses, Tumusiime is currently detained at Jinja Road Police Station.

Both men are facing charges of obtaining money by false pretenses and theft. Their case file is being prepared for submission to the Resident State Attorney for review and legal guidance.
