Weasel Manizo, whose real name is Douglas Mayanja, hit the studio with his nephew, Abba Marcus, in the United States.

In a video shared online, Weasel is seen directing Marcus, who appears to be handling the production.

This collaboration comes shortly after Marcus shared a thought-provoking post on X: “I’m tired of Ugandan music not having a distinct identity… let’s go back to the roots.”

A follower responded: “Ugandan music has an incredible journey older than you. It was planted in Zaire and then brought back to us. Your father is a big patron. Ask him for wisdom in the same.”

Marcus replied: “I grew up watching my father in the studio create your favourite songs, so you’re telling me things I already know. I’m not impressed with how newer artists are heavily relying on the Jamaican wave. I’m going to do everything I can with my dad.”

He also teased a project in the works, posting a beat on X and writing: “Who Said? Me and my Dad have something special for you all on the way. Uganda needs international reach… watch me”
