Centenary Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to community development by pledging support to the upcoming Rotary District Conference and Assemblies for D9213 and D9214. The announcement was made during an event at which Centenary Bank handed over a cheque for UGX 100 million as a contribution to the upcoming Rotary 9213 District Conferences.

The D9213 conference that is slated to occur from the 9th– to the 13th at the Civil Service College in Jinja will draw Rotarians and Rotaractors from all the country to discuss various items on their agenda and celebrate the milestones achieved in community service.

Speaking at the launch, Rtn Anne Nkutu, the District Governor of D9213, thanked Centenary Bank for promoting the spirit of partnership in Rotary’s various activities.

“I would like to thank Centenary Bank for their partnership and friendship, especially for this year’s District Conference and Assembly (DCA), a gathering for Rotarians to celebrate our achievements. The DCA is more than a celebration; it is an opportunity to re-strategize and improve our efforts to achieve our goals of supporting communities across the country. I also want to thank Centenary Bank for giving visibility not only to our causes but also to Rotary itself, which has helped expand our volunteer base.”

Joseph Balikuddembe, the Executive Director of Centenary Bank expressed appreciation for the relationship that Centenary Bank shares with Rotary.

We are contributing a total of UGX 200 million with UGX 100 million for District 9213 and UGX 100 million for District 9214. Together, we are making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve,” Balikuddembe added.

Every year, Centenary Bank donates 2% of its previous year’s profits to corporate social responsibility initiatives, with a focus on improving health, education, and the environment and social mission of the Catholic Church. This event will bring together key stakeholders, including Rotarians, Rotaractors, and community representatives.
