Ugandan music fans yet again witnessed the Zzina Awards25-12th edition which happened at Galaxy FM station premises, Kansanga on Thursday.

In this year’s edition, a total of 20 Awards were handed out to different standout artists as they were voted by fans.

Fans voted for 18 categories and the awards committee selected the Sports Personality of the Year and Legend of the year awards that were received by Uganda Cranes star Allan Okello and Swangz Avenue gaffer Benon Mugumbya, respectively.

The biggest winner was Team No Sleep (TNS) star Ava Peace who walked away with the most accolades on the night as she bagged four awards, including Artist of the Year and Best Female Artist Award.

The Award ceremony which was graced by city A Listers and budding artists, started as early as 8pm with the Red Carpet glamour and performances from the angelic voiced star, Tracy Melon, Anknown, Recho Rey, Dokta Brain, Dax Vibez, Ava Peace and Kataleya and Kandle.

  11. Best Dancehall Artist – Mudra
  12. Best Afrobeat song – It’s Okay – Acidic Vokoz
  13. Best Collaboration – Taabu – Dax Vibez + Ava Peace
  14. Legend Award – Benon Mugumbya
  15. Best Producer – Bassboi
  16. Best Male Artist – Alien Skin
  17. Best Female Artist – Ava Peace
  18. Breakthrough Artist – Nandor Love
