On Monday, March 3, 2025, Regional CID; SSP Dr Monday Johnson Agaba with sincere appreciation officially received Nissan Double Cabin Reg no UP 7547 white in color to purposely enhance command, control and administration in CID department additionally, quicken responsiveness to crime scenes, ease mobility to different locations in ensuring proper day to day policing.
The Inspector General of police Abbas Byakagaba with recommendation from the Director CID AIGP Tom Magambo due to Kiira’s recent recognition across Busoga sub region as the most effective in crime prevention and problem solving decided to provide logistical support to the region to continue registering more success in community oriented, accountable and modern policing
AIGP Tom Magambo cautioned the driver and Regional CID against poor vehicle maintenance that compromises the vehicles’s safety, performance and comfort.
Dr Monday Johnson Agaba couldn’t thank much the contribution of the IGP, Director CID and RPC Kiira in enhancing logistical support towards his department intended for thorough prosecution guided investigations that leads to securing convictions on high-profile, capital and minor cases subsequently making the region the most effective across Busoga sub region in fighting the above mentioned cases.
The RPC Kiira, SSP Charles Nsaba commended the top police management led by the IGP Abbas Byakagaba for the good will in making Kiira region spearhead major police projects like being the model region out of the 29 regions for effective implementation and supervision of sub county policing model (SCPM) and the tireless logistical support efforts terms of fleet and other things.
On Monday, March 3, the head of Community policing in Uganda, CP Anatoli Muleterwa officially launched Kiira region sub county policing model at Namagera town council police station in Jinja district, Namagera town council police station is the model sub county policing model station in Busoga sub region. The function was colorfully attended by the district leadership like the Mayor Namagera town council Paul Balidawa, MP Kagoma county Moses Walyomu Muwanika, chairperson LC 3 Butagaya sub county Cadre Suuta Abdullah who doubles as chairperson of all the LC 3s in Busoga sub region, Hon Monica Nabirye Kamagu represented the LC5 Jinja district Moses Batwala, Hon councilors, media, community members, Security agencies all represented.
Speaker after speaker and the community welcomed the decision by the president of Uganda H.E Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for strategic guidance on November 19, 2019 while addressing the 25th Police Council at police headquarters at Naguru, Kampala on (SCPM) that focuses on ensuring policing services are brought nearer the people especially in rural area leading to increased productivity interms of boosting to socio-economic transformation through government programs like PDM, Emyooga and operation wealth creation.
