The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set to release the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results this Friday, March 14, 2025.
According to an official statement from the examinations body, the release will take place at 11:00 AM at State House Nakasero. The announcement follows a successful briefing of the Minister of Education and Sports, First Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni, which was conducted earlier today.
The UNEB delegation for the briefing was led by Board Chairperson Prof. Celestino Obua and Executive Director Mr. Dan Odongo. The upcoming release will mark the final set of national examination results for the 2024 academic cycle, following the earlier publication of PLE and UCE results.
Students, parents, and stakeholders eagerly await the performance trends and key highlights, which will be unveiled during the official release event.
In 2024, a total of 142,009 candidates sat for the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations across 2,634 centers nationwide. This marked a significant 22.1% increase from the previous year’s 110,579 candidates.
Of these candidates, 35,661 (25.1%) were sponsored by the government under the Universal Post O’Level Education and Training (UPOLET) program, an increase from 24,679 in the previous year. The remaining 106,348 candidates (74.8%) were privately sponsored. Gender distribution indicated that 61,968 candidates (43.6%) were female, while 80,041 (56.4%) were male.
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) conducted the 2024 UACE examinations under the theme: “Embracing Security and Holistic Assessment of Learners in a Dynamic Environment.”
