During her emotional burial service in Nyarubanga Parish, Kakiika Subcounty, Mbarara, her father, Seth Murari, took to the podium to condemn social media users who have used his daughter’s death for mockery and personal gain.
“Stop using my daughter’s death to get likes or make money on social media by spreading false information,” Murari said, his voice full of pain.
He called on people to show humanity in the face of such tragedy. “This is a painful time for us, and for anyone to mock us online is just pushing us to the extreme.”

According to reports, Ahumuza collapsed at 3 AM while having a drink with friends. She was quickly taken to the manager’s office by Edward Mugabi, a cashier at the bar, and Joseph Kalenzi, who was present. However, without CCTV footage, police are struggling to piece together the events leading up to her sudden collapse.
Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan police spokes person says two prime suspects are currently in police custody at Kira Police including Mugabi and Kalenzi, both of whom were present when the incident occurred. The police have yet to release further details about their involvement, as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, forensic pathologists from the government analytical lab have already collected internal organs from the deceased for examination. However, the autopsy report is still awaited. The police have stressed the importance of conducting thorough investigations to determine the exact cause of death.
Ahumuza’s cousin, Briam Kambaho, recounted the tragic moment during the funeral service at All Saints Cathedral in Nakasero. He shared that he was among the first to be called when she collapsed and rushed her to Kampala Hospital, where doctors said her lungs were filled with fluid and there was internal bleeding on the brain.
