Nigerian heavyweight artiste Orezi (born Esegine Allen) has arrived in the country to grace a night that is set to take Kampala life by storm, Unruly Fridays presented to Ugandan partygoers by Catwalk Lounge in Kololo.
Unruly Fridays counting down 100 bottles sponsored by Belaire, is launching on Friday (April 11th) at Catwalk Lounge in Kololo, Kampala. The night will be hosted by Urban Empire whose DJ lineup will include DJ Jose, DJ TrizzyVybz, The Last Girl and DJ Lito. To bring a full dose of hype at the show will be MC Cute and MC Casmir.
Orezi, 39, is renowned in the West African music circles for his energetic performances and captivating tunes, that always get his audiences dancing sweaty. He is a Nigerian musician from Owhelogbo, Isoko in Delta State who rose to prominence with his catchy hit “Rihanna” in 2013. And since then, he has not stopped making big waves in Nigeria’s fiercely competitive music industry.
Orezi started his music career in 2009, but it was in 2013 that he rose to prominence with the release of “Rihanna”, a song that quickly became a massive hit. The infectious tune and its appealingvideo that featured a Rihanna-look-alike, earned him widespread recognitionn across Africa.

Following the success of “Rihanna,” Orezi kept the momentum going with tracks like “You Garrit”, “Shoki” (French version), and the 2015 release of his debut album, The Ghen Ghen Album. The album featured heavyweights like Davido, Wizkid, Ice Prince, and Timaya, among others, cementing his place as a force in the Nigerian music industry. Orezi has also collaborated with Ugandan superstar Sheebah Karungi on the popular dancefloor staple “Sweet Sensation.”
His sound is a unique blend of Afro-pop, Dancehall, and Reggae, and he has worked with top producers such as Kiddominant, Del B, and Dokta Frabz. Over the years, his tracks have consistently topped music charts, with hit songs like “Booty Bounce” and “Ogede” becoming fan favourites.
Awards and Recognition
Orezi’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2013, he won Best Reggae Dancehall Artiste at the Nigerian Music Video Awards (NMVA), and also took home awards at the South South Music Awards (SSMA). He’s been nominated for multiple accolades, including The Headies and the Channel O Music Video Awards, further showcasing his impact on the music scene
