Chef Sheila, one of Uganda’s most prominent culinary figures and the Vice President of the Uganda Chefs Association, marked a major milestone in her career as she hosted the first graduation ceremony for her culinary school, Vine Culinary Kitchen, located in Ntinda.

The event, held over the weekend, celebrated the accomplishments of more than 150 students who successfully completed their culinary training under Chef Sheila’s guidance and mentorship. The graduation ceremony drew an enthusiastic crowd, including notable personalities from Uganda’s hospitality and culinary industries, as well as family, friends, and well-wishers of the graduates.
Chef Sheila, widely recognized for her dedication to promoting culinary excellence in Uganda, founded Vine Culinary Kitchen with the vision of empowering young chefs and elevating the standards of professional cooking in the country. Her passion for food and education was evident in her address to the graduates, where she emphasized the importance of discipline, creativity, and professionalism in the kitchen.

“This moment is not just about a certificate; it is a celebration of growth, hard work, and the future of Uganda’s culinary industry,” Chef Sheila stated. “I am incredibly proud of each graduate and excited to see how they will contribute to shaping our food culture both locally and internationally.”
A celebrated figure beyond Uganda’s borders, Chef Sheila has represented the country in various culinary events across Europe, proudly showcasing Ugandan cuisine and fostering international connections. Her global exposure has brought invaluable insight and expertise to her training programs at Vine Culinary Kitchen.

The graduation day was filled with joy, laughter, and of course, an exquisite display of culinary talent. Guests were treated to a range of dishes prepared by the graduating class, highlighting the skills and creativity they have acquired during their time at the school.
