Info reaching our mighty news desk indicates that renown Media Personality Omubi Masembe is now jobless!
Masambe has been working with Vision Group’s Bukedde TV for the past 10 years. Sources say that hell broke loose when he started identifying himself with a certain political- NUP/ People Power headed by Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.
The last nail in his coffin was when he was officially unveiled as an NUP member at the party headquarters in Kamwokya earlier this week. That is when the Ani Asinga? presenter was told to step aside by the top bosses.
However some sources say, he willingly stepped down in order to chase his political career. Apparently he to contest for Makindye West LC 5 Councilor in 2021 under NUP.
Masembe now joins the likes of Flavia Namulindwa, Afande Kerekere and Innocent Tegusulwa who lost their TV jobs because of political reasons.
Innocent together with Tamale Mirundi Junior and comedienne Lydia Nakiito alias Mama Sam were unveiled as new members of People Power by Bobi Wine’s elder bro Fred Nyanzi last month.
While unveiling Tegusulwa, Mama Sam, and other new members of the movement, Chairman Nyanzi said that People Power is for everyone and that there are no restrictions to any Ugandan.
“We don’t charge anything because People Power is for everyone. As you can see, we unveil the cream while he takes away the gullible,” Nyanzi said.
